NZSME is accountable to its members, governed by a member-director board that leads it. Members elect the board and set the strategic direction at the annual general meeting.
Independent and non-partisan
We are not aligned to any political party. An independence policy and limits on any single funder's contribution protect our voice from capture and keep our advocacy squarely in members' interests.
Sustainably funded
We are funded through a mix of membership, partnerships and earned income, structured to keep us independent and built to last — no single funder can control our voice.
